Ignalina NPP held an informative seminar on dismantling

On 24-25 of April 2019 Ignalina NPP held an informative seminar on issues related to INPP dismantling organisation. The seminar was attended by representatives of Swedish Radiation Protection Agency (SSM), STUK and Leningrad NPP. During the seminar participants presented and discussed the most relevant issues related to the decommissioning, for instance, progress of system decommissioning works, equipment dismantling, radioactive waste treatment processes and their sequence. Representatives of Ignalina NPP had an opportunity to share their broad experience in complex engineering-radiation investigations as well as gained knowledge and competences in radioactive waste treatment. Participants were familiarised with ongoing processes and provided with an opportunity to discuss relevant technical issues with INPP specialists.
